Gedcom Builder is a tool for creating standard Gedcom files from  Microsoft® Excel spreadsheets.

 

One of the tedious tasks in family history is the recording of information into a lineage linked family history software package or into an online family tree. Person by person, fact after fact, linking as we go.

 

Gedcom Builder changes it all in that it enables the family historian or genealogist to simply record the people as a list in a spreadsheet together with their vital information and links to parents and partners, providing a huge advantage over the person by person method of entry required by lineage linked family history software packages and online family trees.  In addition, this process allows for the instant recognition of missing or incorrectly entered information, block copying and pasting of information, not to forget find and replace to correct inconsistencies.

 

All the basic elements, being births, baptisms, deaths, burials and marriages are addressed within Gedcom Builder, and the linking of parents and spouses to individuals is as simple as placing an identifier against individuals.
